By courtesy of Guillaume Graechen’s introduction, Cong Phuong seals an opportunity to undergo a trial in a football club, playing in Ligue 2, named Paris FC.
Recently, Cong Phuong and Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC made a huge surprise by ending Incheon United contract after Cong Phuong was only under the contract for 4 months in K-League.
Saying goodbye to the Korean football club, Cong Phuong will be led to France to search for new challenges. Based on some resources, Nguyen Cong Phuong is set to undergo 1-month trial under Paris FC color.
In this case, Guillaume Graechen – Cong Phuong’s the first coach plays an intermediary role to bring the player to a Europe land where the coach revealed 2 years ago.
He once said:
“Jean-Marc Guillou – the founder of JMG Global Academy who is intending to buy Paris FC – the team is playing in Ligue II (France). I hope in the next 1 – 2 years, this will be materialized. At that time, Cong Phuong will play in Europe.”
Paris FC, running the race at Ligue II, who had a stellar game and ended the 2018/19 season by ranking 4th with 65 points through 38 rounds.
As scheduled, Cong Phuong will return to Vietnam after 2019 King’s Cup to carry out the procedure heading to France to undergo one month trial under Paris FC color from June 15 to July 15. If he complies the requirements, Ligue II will be the new future for the 1995 player.
As previous news, Paris FC has a similar style to Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC’s. This will be the third time Cong Phuong to ply his trade outside the confines of the country. The first time was under Mito Hollyhock and the latest time was in Incheon United. Though has not been successful in Korea and Japan, Cong Phuong created remarkable marks.
Cong Phuong will become the second Vietnamese player in history to wave a move in Europe. Before that, Cong Vinh had his career under Leixoes SC thanked to Calisto’s introduction.
